Quilt Show

Tonight our Little By Little quilt group went to Brigham City to see Kaye Evan's quilts, which were displayed at the Fine Arts Center. Though a small town, this is a well-known arts center. We had a great time reminiscing over the quilt blocks we had each made to many of her quilts.  A great evening that ended with dinner at Maddox.

Paper Chandelier

I ordered this metal chandelier and it was delivered the other day. We hung in over the dining room table. It's very heavy and I was able to get my weight training in without going to the gym. It's funky and eclectic - my two favorite decorating words.

This is one of my favorite photos. It's of Jonah and I took it a few years ago at Nichols Park in Kaysville. I decided to frame it today. Now, where do I hang it? I don't have much wall space left!

Silk

Chocolate milk is my favorite beverage. Actually it's soy milk, and some might say it's an acquired taste, but I do like it a lot!

A Birthday Present to Myself

The one nice thing about putting away Christmas is the dusting, cleaning, rearranging and redecorating.  I bought this ferris wheel wire sculpture for my birthday, but had to wait until the Christmas decorations were back in their boxes to set it out.The cars rock and the wheel turns. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But I look at it and wonder about the artist who created it, the inspiration behind the work, the amount of time it must have taken, and, was it hard to part with?

A Visit to the Train Station

Before we went to the train station the kids played with the Snap Circuits we got them for Christmas.  This morning they created things that lit up and things that would make the propeller spin into the air.

I think they had more fun exploring the "real" trains than the miniature ones inside the depot.

Cousin's Sleepover & A Chocolate Farm

Every couple of months we have the cousins sleep overnight. Pretty soon the two little granddaughters will be old enough, but for now it's just the boys. We did tend Hazel for a little while.

I ordered an animal waffle maker just for these occasions. These don't look very appetizing, but they're CHOCOLATE! We had these for dinner.

Popcorn and a Scooby Do movie settled everyone down.
