Lego Train Town
Dave stopped by with the kids, so we decided to run down to the Union Station in Ogden to see the miniature trains on display. It was packed, especially upstairs where a Lego town was on display. It was the highlight of my day. I'm a BIG Lego fan and still have 30 year-old Legos upstairs in the playroom - a LOT of Legos. The kids dive in every time they come over.

Beautiful March Snow
It seems as if Spring has stepped aside and allowed Snow to visit one more time. We do need the moisture. It was beautiful this morning as I stepped outside.
Main Street in Farmington is one of my favorites. I love to see the beautiful sycamore trees during each season.

Shoes at 4:35 a.m.
It's so hard to be up and out of the house by 5:00 a.m. on the days Elaine and I go to the gym. I have two pair of exercise shoes. One pair are 1/2 size larger than my regular everyday shoes. They're for the gym. The other pair are a whole size larger and are for running/walking. This gives me extra room so I don't get the dreaded "black toe." Sometimes it can be a challenge to find the right running shoe. I buy my shoes at a wonderful little store in Layton where they have a foot scan that shows what type of foot I have. Then they bring out a large number of shoes to try on that fit my type. The brand that fits me best is made by Mizuno.

Joanna's New House
Cathy and I went to see Joanna at her new house during our lunch hour today. They were laying new carpet and it's her first outing since having to stay down during her pregnancy. Her parents were there to help. Joanna and Ryan will be moving into their new home in a couple of months.

Reflections Contest
Jonah won the Reflections contest at the school level as well as the district level. He was not able to go to regional because there was not a category for three-dimensional projects. He did a fantastic job on this volcano and spent many hours working with wire, clay and paint. CONGRATULATIONS Jonah!!!

Zettiology: A Little Artistic Adventure
I've been experimenting with creating "zettis." It's a folk art style originated by artist Teesha Moore but hard to define. Some common characteristics are striped legs, black and white checks or stripes, bright colors, a quirky look and usually in a collage form. I've loved collages ever since it was a required subject in a high school art class. Creating zettis over the past week have taken me out of my comfort zone and charged up my creativity.
I took these and more into the store today.
(My first try)
Well..DUHHHHH
