Oregon Coast
We walked again this morning, seeing the moon, but the beach was empty of any sea life. I detoured to the agate cove and found some great ones. Our beach house was such a wonderful, peaceful place to stay - I hated to leave. We drove along the Three Capes Scenic Route before heading for the airport.

Beach Walk
This morning we walked about five miles, looking for sand dollars, shells, etc. Cathy and Anne are in the photo. We walked through the tunnel again and found a few agates, having to watch the tide very closely this morning, as the ocean seemed angry. We ate at Mo's in Lincoln City, then took sunset pictures at Yaquina Bay Lighthouse in Newport.

Sunset on the Beach
We began our second day with an early morning three mile walk on the beach. We were amazed at all the ocean life we discovered, such as starfish, sand dollars, jelly fish and crabs. We went through a dark tunnel to a rocky cove and looked for agates. We drove up as far as Cannon Beach and enjoyed watching hundreds of pelicans and seagulls, with Haystack Rock in the background. We then drove north to Haystack Rock and, since it was almost dusk, decided to stay for the sunset. While waiting, we discovered tide pools at the base of Haystack Rock.

Oregon Beach Vacation
We flew into Portland, rented a car, and and visited Multnomah Falls and the Portland Japanese Gardens before heading south to Oceanside, where we rented a wonderful beach house for four days.

Snow in Autumn
A beautiful view of the Farmington hills today. Hope to see more autumn leaves than snow for awhile longer.

Lunch Bunch
Here we are at Firehouse Pizza in Centerville - Cathy and Joanna. We eat lunch here fairly often. Cathy and I usually split the lunch special, which consists of a small pizza (usually Chicken Cordon Bleu, Hawaiian Chicken, or sometimes Artichoke), 1/2 focaccia bread (with extra cheese, of course) and two diet cokes (well, diet Dr. Pepper for me with a lemon and lime slice added). Joanna is eating her veggies these days, as she is eating healthy for "two."

Assembly Required
The Danish IKEA company does not believe in the printed word. There is not just "some" assembly required, but every single piece of this kitchen requires opening a box, pouring out the contents, and then being able to read pictures. This is also true when assembling the kitchen drawers. I have, by myself, without any assistance, (except for those da-- pictures) put together every one of the 20-something drawers.
