Roosters

During the month of November Rooters in Layton is offering a $6 lunch for Davis School District employees.  I very much enjoyed my delicious lunch as well as the company of good friends.

I ordered the Lemon Pepper Salmon Pasta Salad...Yummmm - leftovers for dinner tonight!

Christmas Cactus in November

I have a wonderful Christmas Cactus which was given to me by a cute little 80 year-old neighbor when she moved a few years ago.  I pretty much ignore this plant all year, throwing some water and fertilizer on it when I think about it.  It blooms every November through about March, though November and December produces the most blooms.

Snow Pictures

We worked madly in the yard this morning, trying to get all the leaves raked up before the snow started to fall.  We almost made it.

Then I went back out and took more pictures.

"It's Good to be Home"

After being away from home for 13 and 1/2 hours today, this saying, which hangs in the entryway, says it all.

Thanks

I received a very nice (and fancy) thank you note from Alisa Bangeter.  She does a weekly segment on the Studio 5 TV show and is super talented.  She loves cupcakes and Halloween, so I created a new design just for her as a "thank you"  - she's purchased a number of my necklaces.  Here's what it said:

Jayna,
Thank you so much for the darling (cupcake) Halloween necklace. That was so thoughtful and I love it. I have purchased many of your adorable necklaces and charms and always get tons of people asking where I bought them.  Thank you so much!

Headache-Driven Mini Cooper

Yes, I have a headache.  Probably because I'm wearing my computer glasses. My regular ones are in the backseat of my Mini which is at the service center of the Mini dealership in Murray.  My car broke down - pedal to the metal and no power after leaving Cafe Rio in Bountiful with my friend, Cathy, at lunchtime today.  We "quickly crawled" off the freeway and it was towed, free of charge, to Salt Lake.  After Joanna kindly picked us up and we arrived back at work, still wearing my sunglasses, I realized my glasses were miles away.
