Solitare

It's been a bad year for illness. I've had the flu four times this winter. But I still won at solitare.

Bootcamp

I sent for a video to exercise to - something different to try if I can't make it to the gym. The next step is getting it out of the box:)

Do "real" people look like this??

To Dye For

A morning visit to my neighbor, Lynda, who has a hair salon in her home. I've gone to her for over 20 years! On the walk over, I saw raindrops on a bush.

Too Many Choices

Trying to find a new pair of frames during my lunch hour is not enough time. There are just too many choices!

Eye to Eye

The best thing about going to the eye doctor is that you don't have to WEIGH in. No recording in your medical records about that dreaded three-digit number filed away for a whole year until the next time you go in for a check-up.  Because the back of my eyes are not shaped like "normal" eyes, my yearly check-up constitutes additional testing to rule out glaucoma and other diseases. This year another test was run totalying three different machines in three different rooms. And the technician lost my file twice! Comparing today's tests and photos against previous years showed a slight improvement.

The machine for the peripheral vision test.

Finally got the vision test. I will need to get new lenses.

Ez's Birthday and Making Houses

Today was Ezra's 4th birthday - hard to believe. Every year he asks for a "swimming" party.  Clearfield's Aquatic Center is pretty amazing.

It was my turn to host our Little by Little group and provide the project. I decided to have them create little wooden houses with ephemera. We gather each month from all over: Ogden, Washington Terrace, Farr West, Fruit Heights, South Jordan and Clinton. Everyone was able to come tonight except one.

The Neighborhood

We enjoyed chocolate eclairs from Dick's Market in Centerville - the BEST!

I'll Have a Tostada, Please...with extra Pico and No Sour Cream

Cathy and I headed to Bountiful today for lunch - Cafe Rio. I almost always order the following:
Chicken Tostada with black beans, cheese, cilantro, extra pico, guacamole, chips and green ranch dressing.  I ask for 3-4 limes on the side and squeeze them into my diet Dr. Pepper.

My son Dave was reading through this blog the other day when he was bored at work. (He must have been REALLY bored) and asked why so many of my entries were about food. Since we as humans are supposed to eat at least three times a day...I guess it becomes a big deal:)
