Clinton Parade, Photography Show and Jon Schmidt

Waiting...waiting...waiting...patiently with their plastic sacks to hold candy.

My friend, Elaine, joined us for the parade.

Part of the Clinton Photography show.
Cathy Larsen and I went to the Jon Schmidt concert at Sandy Amphitheatre this evening. It was a great show. He's a fun entertainer. We enjoyed his performance of Love Story Meets Viva La Vida, which he did twice for the audience.

Cousins Sleepover
We have a tradition every year during our Clinton Fun Days. The grandboys (next year the girls will be old enough to come too) have a sleep-over at our house. They were so excited. We took them to the park where they were holding a chalk art festival.
Budding artists.

Preparing for the Photography Show Fau Paux
I should know by now (from past experience...) that I shouldn't try new things when I'm ready to fall asleep on my feet. Last night I cut some foam core board for photography pics for the Clinton Arts Show. I spray-glued the photos on the boards and found it was easy and they looked pretty good. So tonight I wanted to finish the rest and get them turned in. If you'll notice in the photo below...there is a can of Krylon spray sitting on the table. The trouble is...it's NOT the Krylon Spray Glue...

(The following was written after the Clinton Days Art Show): I didn't realize I was using the Krylon Crystal Clear Satin Protective, Non-Yellowing Clear Finish to GLUE my pictures on the foam-core board! I walked into the show on Saturday and the person who was in charge of it, Suzanne Pearson (a good friend) made a beeline for me. She apologized for a couple of the mounted photos falling on the floor and and bending the corners. I told her it was not a problem. She then commented that "the person who mounted the photos did NOT know what they were doing - that a couple did not even stick." I said to her: "Uhhh, that person would be me." We both laughed. I then made the connection that I had grabbed the wrong Krylon product off the counter the spray-mount my photos. (Guess that clear spray will stick things together for a SHORT time...) Hopefully when I get ready to spray finish a couple of old pieces that I want to protect the patina on, that I will NOT use Krylon Spray Glue!
